The PIVOTS project consists of a set of six “Platforms for Innovation, Valorisation and Environmental Technological Optimisation”, involving public and private actors from the Centre-Val de Loire Region: the BRGM (Office of Geological and Mining Research), which is the coordinator of the project, the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), INRA (Institut national de la recherche agronomiques), the Université d’Orléans, the agency Le Studium, the competitiveness cluster DREAM (Durability of the water resource associated with the environment) and Antea Group (International Society for Environmental Engineering and Consulting). The present application for funding is part of the PIVOTS project and the practical and functional implementation of the DECAP platform, in particular on the part of the platform located at GREMI (UMR 7344) on the University site; the other party located at the ICMN on the CNRS’s Orlean campus. The DECAP platform is dedicated to the design of sensors for the environment and the development of processes to clean up contaminated water. DECAP’s objectives are also to: —develop new materials to reduce detection thresholds and consider continuous measurements; —develop surfaces with selective properties vis-à-vis many pollutants; —to propose innovative and clean processes for the clean-up of liquid effluents. ...
