The regional integration of the VALBIOCOSM project into a sustainable approach responds to the need of the cosmetics industry for alternatives to synthetic compounds in an increasingly binding regulatory context. The wealth of local biodiversity, not entirely/completely explored to date, as well as the availability of plant cell culture collections within the consortium, opens up real opportunities for the discovery of new natural bioactives. This project is therefore an opportunity for the cosmetics industry and for laboratories that will evolve towards innovation and scientific excellence. This project is built according to a circular scheme with the starting point of sourcing raw materials from plants or plant cells, to arrive at the identification of bio-active principles through the establishment of a new platform for screening biological activity based on the expression of microRNAs. His work will be supported by molecular analysis techniques throughout the process.
