An energy transition policy is being pursued by the European Union in order to reconcile the preservation of our environment, climate and public health with the growing growth of our societies. In the 2030 Energy-Climate Package, for example, in 2014, the European Union set headline targets for 2030 such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40 % compared to 1990 levels or increasing the share of renewable energy to at least 27 %. In order to achieve the ambitious objectives set by these policies, innovative solutions are needed to optimise energy efficiency, promote sustainable mobility, develop renewable energy, and improve energy storage, which includes in particular several stages of energy conversion, from its capture to its subsequent use. The research axis ESA (Ecoulements et Systèmes Aerodynamics) of the PRISME laboratory conducts fundamental and applied research into the physics and control of instationary and turbulent flows around aerodynamic systems, relying in particular on experimental means unique in the CVL region, such as the large subsonic wind tunnel built on campus in the 1990s. The application objectives of this research concern the improvement of the aerodynamic and energy performance of different objects. The common feature of the different targeted applications is the...
