PROMESTOCK MEB-microsonde

The aim of this project is to strengthen an emerging electron microscopy platform, MIRA CVL (provisional name/Microscopy, Imagery, Analytic Resources in Centre-Val de Loire). This entity corresponds to a desire to structure the needs for research instruments on the large Orlean campus but also at the regional level with Tours, Blois and Bourges. This is the primary objective of the CPER Promestock project: to provide basic research with tools, expertise and human skills around a set of complementary instruments but beyond, to be able to respond downstream to strategic interests for industry, partnership research and innovation. A first operation led to the acquisition of an electronic transmission miscroscope (MET), a next-generation equipment with remarkable performance, which makes the Region the fifth national site with this type of tool (after Caen, Grenoble, Nancy and Rouen) and the only one in the Great West. This exceptional instrumentation, which has recently been operational, focuses around it a strong desire on the part of the Orlean scientific communities, but also regional, to pool effective means for research. The MIRA CVL platform on Orléans Grand Campus (University of Orleans, BRGM and CNRS) wants to strengthen itself by proposing this new project aimed at the acquisition of an Electronic Scanning Microscope (MEB) and an Electroi Microsonde
