The Economics Directorate of the Centre-Val de Loire Region is requesting European funding to support the Emergence Innovation II seed fund managed by the management company SOFIMAC. The Emergence Innovation 2 seed fund is a financial instrument whose purpose is to invest capital in the initiation of high-innovative content technology projects led by SMEs in technological fields with a high degree of differentiated intellectual property as a priority. This capital-providing financial instrument is envisaged through the acquisition of equity and other equity and quasi-equity instruments. The acquisition of a shareholding must be a minority, i.e. less than 50 % of the capital of the targeted undertaking. It targets unlisted, innovative and high growth potential SMEs and will only intervene with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as defined in Annex 1 to Block Exemption Regulation No 651/2014 of 26 June 2014, not admitted to trading on a regulated market. The investment will benefit the region Centre — Val de Loire through the financing of companies engaged in economic activities in the same Region and will prioritise its investments in the fields of health/life sciences, digital/Internet activities, of the Fonds plans to invest in the capital of 4 young innovative companies in the Region Centre-Val de Loire.
