The 3D-BioMat project aims to develop, around remarkable equipment, a research and development center dedicated to biobased materials within the European Centre for Biotechnology and Bioeconomy (CEBB). Articulated around a latest generation nanoscanner and a high-resolution 3D printer, the project offers a wide range of interventions including fundamental aspects of research, training actions and industrial partnerships: The whole part of modelling and visualisation will use in perfect synergy another remarkable resource center located on the territory: the ROMEO calculation center. The equipment to be acquired under the 3D-BioMat project will be at the heart of the Biotechnology Chair’s strategy, which, since 2014, has deployed a thematic focus on biobased materials and the pre-treatment of biomass.
