Cotuplas wants to diversify its business opportunities and open up to other industrial customers based on its current know-how in the field of overmoulding and high-speed assembly. A pre-market study identified the market for packaging and medical device manufacturers as a commercial target for Cotuplas equipment. In order to best meet the needs of this new market, Cotuplas wants to develop a new flexible overmoulding platform adapted to these commercial targets. To evolve its equipment, Cotuplas must work on 3 technological locks: •Study of the transfer injection process applied to materials used in the medical field. This work will be carried out by LISM Charleville-Mézières (URCA) •Digital simulation of component injection by the transfer injection process developed by Cotuplas and development of injection mold support to improve machine performance. Collaboration with the laboratory of ENSAM Chalons en Champagne • Make the machine smarter so as to simplify user grip and allow 100 % seal control of all parts produced.
