Brownfields present on the territory have environmental and public health issues and represent real land opportunities. The will is to continue the efforts to rehabilitate the waste plots of the territory, starting with the former premises of the EFS and the social action district. The recycling of the waste site consisting of the former premises of the social action division and the EFS is one of the priority operations put in place by Saint-Dizier. The choice was made to demolish the buildings in order to rehabilitate the parcel right-of-way as part of the overall project to redevelopment the banks of the Marne. In addition, this wasteland, located in the city centre, is a source of visual pollution and gives an unattractive image of Saint-Dizier. This project will demolish existing buildings with the aim of creating a car park and reconfiguring the intersection between Godard Jeanson and Paul Bert streets and sidewalks to improve the readability and safety of this intersection.
