In order to serve about 15 users in thermal energy identified on the Municipality of Vitry, and offer them an eco-friendly and economical heating solution, Dalkia proposed to replace the existing biomass boiler room with a new one and to extend the heat network. Currently, the heating and ECS production of these buildings is carried out by so many gas boilers in which the future substations will be located. Biomass, which is competitive and low-polluting renewable energy, will cover almost 72 % of the thermal energy needs of connected buildings. Natural gas will be used in addition, and domestic fuel oil intended for clipping will be used to optimise the natural gas bill. The project is therefore fully in line with the long-standing orientations of the City of Vitry, namely the fight against climate change, energy efficiency, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and local development.
