Habitat Renewal-Strength 2

The intervention on the old park is a prerequisite for the successful diversification of the habitat offer of Vert-Bois (Quartier Priority de la Ville) since the vacancy in this park has not been halted. It is therefore necessary to continue the dynamics of renewing the housing supply through new demolition operations and by extending rehabilitation and residentisation activities in order to adapt the park to the needs. The demolition operations carried out in order to allow the redevelopment of the Vert-Bois will help to strengthen the mainly residential function of the neighbourhood within the city, contributing to the reduction of the phenomenon of vacancy observed in the neighbourhood. They will also encourage the adaptation of the rental offer to the agglomeration scale. The choice of buildings to be demolished is also based on the design of the urban project, which proposes a gradual demolition of the large bars perpendicular to the slope that create barrier effects between the different parts of the neighborhood. The demolitions carried out during this section of the overall habitat renewal project focus on 3 buildings: Oise, Gentiane and Somme, located on both sides of Boulevard Henri Dunant. These demolitions will be part of the same project to develop the boulevard en “Rue Jardin”.
