The objective of the project is to build a methanisation unit to process approximately 11,000 tonnes per year of locally present agricultural materials; the majority of wastes of potatoes, beets and cereals from family farms, as well as from the sugar factory in Connantre and from the HUSSIMONT starch factory located nearby (11 km and 14 km respectively from the holding). The methanisation of these materials will allow the production of biogas which will be converted into biomethane to be re-injected into the nearby gas transmission network. The other objective of the project is to make farms autonomous in terms of crop fertilisation.
