Eco-touristic valorisation of the Domaine de Saint Lucia

Eco-touristic enhancement of the Saint Lucia estate, owned by the Coastal Conservatory, consists of restoring the architectural heritage within the Saint Lucia Regional Nature Reserve. The objective of this operation is to: — Safeguarding and enhancing the architectural, historical and cultural heritage of the estate — Developing the eco-touristic potential of the territory of Narbonnais in support of nature tourism This project is part of the eco-touristic strategy of the Narbonnaise Regional Natural Park in the Mediterranean and the Grand Narbonne as well as the Mediterranean Sustainable Buildings approach, with an objective of exemplary restoration of built heritage. The first implementation tranche, which is the subject of this operation, is intended more specifically to: — Restore the built heritage complex of 1 900 m² for further development — Rebuilding the enclosure walls and heritage ironworks — Rebuilding and upgrading the solar photovoltaic power plant. This first phase of work thus aims to secure the entire site, stop the process of deterioration of the buildings, preserve them by ensuring, in particular, that the buildings are waterproof to the water and air, and to allow the possibility of further upgrading of these spaces in living and functional conditions for the reception of the public.
