Part 3 of the requalification of the city entrance to the RN113 through the development of soft links, carried out by the city of Lunel, is to improve the mobility and the living environment of the inhabitants, through the development of pedestrian and cycling routes. The work thus envisaged is intended to facilitate the smooth movement of residents, located mainly within the priority area of the city’s policy while creating legible traffic areas to ensure the comfort and safety of users. This project will also address the challenges of reconstituting a city entrance and transforming the road axis into a more urban dimension in conjunction with neighbouring neighbourhoods. It is also part of the integrated territorial approach to the territory of the community of municipalities of the Pays de Lunel, in connection with the development of a multimodal hub. The requalification of the spaces will be carried out more specifically by: — the creation of sidewalks on both sides of the Avenue, from 1m50 to 1m80 — the reduction of the right-of-way of the existing pavement (2 lanes of 3 m) and, where appropriate, the creation of parking spaces -the creation of a two-way cycle path of 3 m -the creation of a planted strip. This third phase of operation will be carried out on the part between the entrance to the Luneland activity area and the roundabout of Marshal June.
