The ZEFI project aims to renovate the Mice Experimentation Area (ZEFI) of the CNRS Campus of the Route de Mende in Montpellier while bringing new functionalities to meet new scientific challenges in a general context of acceleration of research and increased competition. The ZEFI project aims to provide a space dedicated to the imaging of the small animal, to create an extension of the testing area on immunocompromised mice and to develop a quarantine zone corresponding to a legal obligation. This operation contributes to the plan of rationalisation and economies of scale of animal testing infrastructure carried out within the AMR (Network of Animals of Montpellier). The ZEFI platform is one of the main testing platforms of the RAM network and is open to the local scientific community within the AMR, which pools many resources in the field of animal experimentation. The ZEFI project is supported by the CNRS, which is one of the guardianships of the Institute of Molecular Genetics of Montpellier (IGMM) where this plateau is housed.
