The Cities of Vernon has embarked on an ambitious urban recomposition work based on the realisation of a Master Plan of Planning.Wharves, banks, squares are created or redesigned, in the desire to create a new urban framework for the development of the city. They are as many places of encounter, crossroads for residents and visitors. On the other hand, the former industrial wastelands are reborn for the benefit of residential areas and public services with the aim of offering the inhabitants of the centre a better living environment. In this context of change, the elected representatives began a reflection on the Route Départementale 6015 along the Seine and crossing the city. Indeed, this departmental road category 1, crossroads of the roads from Évreux to Beauvais and from Paris to Rouen generates traffic of about 17,000 vehicles/day.This axis crossing is not valued, access to the city centre is not clearly identifiable and remarkable sites such as city entrances, Place Chantereine, Fieschi/Papeterie district, are not subject to any specific treatment. Thus, the perception of this axis remains limited to a transit axis.
