The Renault plant in Cléon is the first Renault Group mechanical plant in the world and has produced 90 million engines and gearboxes since its inception almost 60 years ago. With 1,350,000 units manufactured in 2017, including 874,000 heat engines (83 % diesel, 14 % gasoline), 410 000 mechanical gearboxes and 43,000 electric motors, the company is now growing, with a strategic positioning that gives it an international dimension (39 customer sites worldwide, 65 % of operations for Renault, 5 % for Daimler and 30 % for other brands), the plant is also very committed to its employment pool. The first industrial employer Seinomarin, the Cléon site aims, in the light of a profound transformation of the automotive industry, to maintain its position as a leading Norman industrial player and consolidate its role in the automotive industry and the local ecosystem. In April 2019, the Renault plant in Cléon announced the hiring of 200 CDI employees. This new round of recruitment follows the 888 hirings already made over the past four years, bringing the total number of CDI recruitments to 958 since 2015 and 130 DTCs.
