The City of Vernon plans, as part of a global urban project comprising the ZAC Fieschi, the papetrie, the urban boulevard and the banks of Seine, to develop on the site thus liberated, with a total area of 33 230 m², a new district that will include housing, equipment and an open urban park on the Seine. The site is extended to the city of Captain Marchand. As part of this overall urban project, the city of Vernon has as its project the conversion of the site of the Foundry, by reclassifying this wasteland as a sustainable urban park, open on the Seine.Pre-operational studies carried out have highlighted strong environmental constraints on the site of the Foundry and in particular on the constructive capacity of this land tenure.
