INSA Rouen Normandie, a public school for the training of engineers and scientific research, its activities are naturally oriented towards the development of companies and industrial innovation in various fields (digital, energy, mechanics, chemistry, process engineering, etc.). With its development in basic research recognised nationally and internationally, the Institute has focused for more than fifteen years, part of its research into targeted industrial sectors such as aeronautics, clean energy, mechanical manufacturing, chemistry and processes) through the creation of years of collaborative platforms allowing a strong and lasting link between industry and academic research. These collaborative platforms (CERTI) have the mission and vocation of accelerators of knowledge transfer from upstream to downstream. This project concerns a CERTI SPEA platform specialised in process safety and the environment. This theme is central to the research activities of INSA and also for industrial companies Normandes and Axis Seine in the fields of petrochemical production, energy (thermal route), automotive. The safety of processes and the environment is a major topic for these companies, which must meet very precise standards and, above all, develop efficient and safe processes in all aspects of health and environmental safety. CERTI SPEA is a platform designed to enhance the scientific and technical resources of INSA in Rouen Normandie. This platform, which is self-financed in part by the provision of services, ensures the operation and maintenance of the equipment and facilities used in its activities.The teams of CERTI SPEA are composed of study engineers, professors-researchers and researchers, students-engineers and Master students, on an ad hoc basis in the course of their training or study projects, which further underlines the strategic interest of this platform for the institution and the Region, both in terms of training, research and business links. CERTI SPEA participates greatly in the promotion of the INSA of Rouen Normandie to the industrialists of the territory, and even beyond. CERTI SPEA is a platform dedicated to process safety, the environment and thermal analysis. It brings its expertise and technical resources to academics and industry to identify the critical points of a process, for studies of hazards or environmental impacts. He is also involved in chemical resistance studies of on-board equipment in accordance with international standards. These international standards are of course constantly evolving and are becoming more and more complex to understand both the new products put into play but also the discovery of new impacts on health or the environment. These studies must be carried out in controlled environments in terms of handling conditions but also in terms of chemical reactivity controls of the products and mixtures studied. The cross-cutting scientific mastery acquired at the COBRA, PBS and LSPC research laboratories gives a unique specificity to this collaborative platform and makes it very attractive for industrial collaborations.
