ERDF — ULHN — SMOB

The objective of the SMOB project is to provide the Scale Research Federation with operational means for the collection, preparation and analysis of biological samples in the field in order to collect and ban data on biodiversity and biomonitoring of water bodies, complementing the equipment of the presen platform. The presen platform, the backbone of FR SCALE, is physically divided into laboratories of the three Norman universities (URN,OLHN, UCN), and responds to the wishes of the guardians (URN, ULHN and CNRS) of the need for integration and structuring of research in environmental sciences offshore in Normandy and beyond. The opening of its analytical and mobile platforms to all academic players, but also to the company under certain conditions, gives it national or even international visibility (for some of its equipment). The presen platform supports research developed in particular within the FR CNSR SCALE, on aquatic and land-based environments that integrate the impacts of human activities of industrial, agricultural, forestry or urban origin. Theseresearches allow the development of assessment, expertise and decision-making tools for integrated management of the Terre-Mer continuum in general but with a focus on estuarine spaces (coteaux and watersheds), coasts and coasts of the estuary, Seine Bay and the Eastern Channel. Research, based on an interdisciplinary integrative approach, concernent:lavulnérabilité and associated risks, depending on physical processes (hydrology, erosion) or chemical and biological contaminationImpacts on the structure and functionality of ecosystems and corresponding ecosystem services (forests, meadows/pelouses, wetlands, coastal areas)territorial, socio-economic and legal impacts The presen platform is aninterdisciplinary and multi-site platform, consisting of 6 technical platforms: Platform for physical analysis of environmental matricesPlateau of chemical analyses of environmental matrices Microbiology platform and molecular ecologyPlateau of microscopic and cryometryMicroscopic analysis plate and experimental plots Mobile technical platform and equipment of workshop sites The presen platform has implemented a quality approach based on the ISO9001 benchmark thanks to its platform-quality engineer. This approach is part of a process of continuous improvement to meet the platform’s present and future expectations and to meet regulatory requirements. Thus, the platform launched in 2018 a labelling of the quality of the data produced for different entities of these technical trays called “LabelReliability of Measurement” and issued by the CT2M. The benchmark of the Measurement Reliability Label, inspired by ISO 17025, brings together quality requirements (ISO 9001) as well as technical requirements specific to laboratories and research platforms. Estimated area: 1 570 m² of trays dedicated to the presen platform on all the laboratories of the SCALE federation.
