The project concerns agricultural parcels located in the south of the Pays de Bray, in the communes of Argueil and Mesnil-Lieubray (76).The total area covered by the project is 29.60 hectares. Currently, these plots are either managed by extensive sheep grazing carried out by a farmer or abandoned. Several problems have been identified on these different plots:- The embussment of the habitats opened by the colonisation of the woods. This natural closure of calciculture lawns leads to the disappearance of the processions of species typical of these habitats. It also contributes to the fragmentation of the lawns and their geographical isolation. The fragmentation of habitats leads to the creation of many small sites that are poorly or more connected to each other, making them very fragile in the face of variations in the environment.- Installation or repair of the elements necessary for grazing. Some of the parcels concerned by the project are the subject of defective fences. Other plots, which used to be the subject of itinerant pasture, have no pastoral infrastructure. The direct consequence of poor development or total lack of development is either the abandonment of the plots or their management under non-optimal conditions (recurrent animal leaks) which can also lead in the medium term to their abandonment.
