The SURFCONTROLBIO project is a regional collaborative project led by GACHES-Chimie-Sspecialties, and federating the company Galvanoplastie Industrielle Toulousaine (GIT), as well as INSA-Toulouse (CRITT-Bio-Industries and LISBP) and the CIRIMAT laboratory of the University Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier. The first objective of this project is to identify and quantify the biomass present within different surface treatments of metal parts. The economic challenge is real and strategic, since this biomass has a detrimental impact on the conduct of the process under consideration and on the quality of the coatings produced on the parts. This project then aims to confirm a daily control protocol for this biomass, to propose adjustments to existing processes in order to prevent its development in advance, or even to develop a technology to eliminate it.
