The Garonne Basin Migratory Fish Restoration Program in Occitanie provides Atlantic salmon restocking and aims to gain maximum knowledge of migratory fish populations and their habitats in order to: — sustainably restore an Atlantic salmon population that had completely disappeared, — ensure rational management of the resource for species that were or are still heavily exploited such as shad or sea lamprey.
