PLATFORM INSPIRES

The health systems of most countries, including France, have been built to identify and treat diseases, but are not organised to maintain intrinsic capacities (mobility, memory, sensory functions, nutritional status, psychological state) with the increase in life expectancy, so that an increasing number of seniors do not receive care entirely adapted to ageing and become increasingly dependent. INSPIRE’s main objectives are to implement a Translational Research and Innovation Platform open to academic and industrial worlds with the aim of promoting healthy ageing and preventing addiction. This platform will bring together clinical data and bioresources, available in both humans and animals, to identify and validate biomarkers of aging (biological, imaging, but also digital markers). The Platform will also enable the development of new, simple and inexpensive technologies that facilitate remote assessment and “monitoring” of intrinsic capabilities related to the primary care network. The Platform will enable us to promote activities of excellence both at the level of care (evolution towards a model tailored to the biological characteristics of the individual and centred on the maintenance of his or her intrinsic abilities) and at the scientific level.
