With the rehabilitation of an industrial building built by the famous architect Auguste PERRET in 1919, now in the state of wasteland, the city of Montataire is engaged in a project aimed at promoting access to culture through the creation of a Cultural Pole and revitalising a depreciated area of the city, close to a train station. On the south shore of the Oise, on a site of 25 515 m², is the former Halle Perret, an industrial hall abandoned after the departure of agricultural equipment factories. The building was built by Architect Auguste Perret in 1919 and is a remarkable industrial architectural heritage that it seems necessary to value. The operation concerns the rehabilitation of this heritage and its upgrading to a cultural hub including a music school, a recording studio and a broadcast room. A public space will be built around this new equipment.
