The project aims to create a biomass boiler plant of 1.4 MW wood in the commune of Roye and a heating network of 2 728.5 mL. The grant file concerns the first (South) phase of the operation. The biomass boiler room will be located on rue de Nesle at the back of the fire station and the network will supply 12 subscribers over 5 contractors via 20 substations. Roye’s heat network will supply heating to the Hospital, the swimming pool, the communal buildings on the route, the Jeanne d’Arc school/college, the medico-social centre and 24 social housing units belonging to OOSOM. The objectives are both environmental, economic and social, with a fossil energy saving of 557 final energy per year, i.e. 1 296 tonnes of CO2/year and a reduction in the energy bill of subscribers. This project will also create jobs through its territorial integration and local energy consumption that generates employment.
