As part of the 2015 call for PV self-consumption projects launched by the region and ADEME, the ALEFPA association wishes to equip its site in Pointe Noire with a photovoltaic facility with storage in order to make the site autonomous, in electric energy. In Guadeloupe, the ALEFPA manages an ESAT (establishment and service of assistance through work) and 3 SESSAD (special education and home care service), 1 in Pointe Noire, 1 in Sainte Rose and 1 Port Louis and an IME (medico-educational institute) in Bouillante. In recent years, ALEFPA has been part of a voluntary approach to controlling energy demand, as double glazing PVC joinery has been installed for air-conditioned rooms and the insulation of the kitchen roof has been redone. Today, she wants to make the Pointe Noire site, which brings together ESAT and SESSAD with a built area of 2 073 m², autonomous in electricity. To achieve this objective, ALEFPA has chosen to install a 55.7kWc photovoltaic power plant to cover 90.6 % of the electricity needs of the entire site.
