As part of its mission to preserve natural coastal sites, the Guadeloupe branch of the Conservatoire du littoral wishes to restore its initial appearance and offer a better welcome to the public of the beach of Sainte Claire in Goyave. The latter, located on the east coast of the Basse-Terre and to the south of the village of the municipality of Goyave, having been for more than one km. It represents a certain seaside potential and is one of the major tourist assets of the municipality. In general, the ecosystem is highly degraded and characterised by significant depletion of vegetation.
