The CAP EXCELLENCE agglomeration community has drinking water jurisdiction in the municipalities of Abymes, Baie-Mahault and Pointe-à-Pitre. As part of the development of the Perrin area, it is planned to set up a drinking water treatment unit, which will treat irrigation water from the mains supplying the great land. The northern area of Perrin is at the end of the network. It is subject to pressure drops that cause difficulties in supplying water, especially in times of drought, but also in the event of a drop in pressure on the Beautiful water supply network that supplies the Boisvin reservoir that serves this sector. In order to overcome this problem, the proposed operation is aimed at brining the existing networks of Perrin and Boisripeaux, both fed by the Boisvin reservoir. In addition, in the long term, this work will also make it possible to secure the supply of drinking water to the future CHU, which will be located in this sector, in the event of a malfunction of the drinking water treatment unit. The network will be meshed by laying a 250 mm diameter PE100 PN 16 HDPE pipe, passing through the RN5 under a steel sheath of 500 mm diameter south of the RN5 development project, with a subway underneath the RN5/RD106.
