Rehabilitation of drinking water systems in Raizet — Sector North and South-West

The CAP EXCELLENCE agglomeration community provides water and sanitation jurisdiction over the Abymes, Baie-Mahaut and Pointe-à-Pitre territories. This project concerns drinking water systems in the Raizet district, particularly in the North and South-West sectors. The drinking water pipes in this area are cast iron and date back about fifty years. The ageing of the network generates problems with the quality of the water delivered. These pipes therefore require frequent rinsing. The principle chosen is a completely meshed network with: HDPE pipes with a minimum diameter of 63 mm for walkways, and in the presence of a hydrant, HDPE pipes shall be of minimum diameter 110 mm. The operation consists of: extend the existing cast iron pipe Avenue Leclerc to the level of Rue Sainte-Anne by a HDPE pipe to rue des Ecoles, to reinforce the pipe from rue des Ecoles to rue Gabriel Bach, as well as the impasses overlooking rue des Ecoles.
