17 km renewal of drinking water system in the Grand Abymes Fund — 2018 Emergency Plan

The distribution floor of the caraque meter is 58 km long. This meter is powered directly by the feeder of Belle Eau Gifteau we have observed for several years a significant decrease in the pressure on this network of Belle-Eau-Cadeau. As a consequence: reservoirs and dwellings located on the high points have difficulty in being fed. The purpose of this project is the renewal of the distribution network of the Caraque floor in the Grands-Fonds in the commune of Abymes. This is the first and second tranche of a network and branch renewal programme that has been broken down into six operational phases. This represents a total of 17 km of the drinking water system, including the postponement and renewal of connections, as well as the implementation of metering and sectorisation renewal valves. The expected impacts of the work are: Reduction of leak flow by 100 m³/h and water losses on the distribution system on the Abymes and Gosier Grand-Fonds area. Increasing the volume of drinking water available for other areas, notably for the Grand Gosier Funds Improving the efficiency of the distribution system in the Abymes Grand fonds area.
