Upscale of the village La Caravelle by a renovation and extension program — caravelle 2019 phase 2

CLUB MED SAS is continuing the renovation and extension of its 4-star village, the Caravelle de Sainte-Anne, starting the second phase of the operation. As a reminder, an overall project of EUR 33,565 900 was originally submitted, with as an investment programme the renovation of the 299 rooms of the village and an extension of 130 furnished and equipped rooms. The objective of the project was to ensure the upscale of the structure through the modernisation and reorganisation of existing infrastructure and to ensure a diversified and harmonious development of the site by creating in particular an “adult only” area. The aim is to obtain a product that better meets the requirements of international customers. Due to the availability of funds, the operation was phased out, the first of which was validated at the CRUP on 09/10/2018 with a total eligible cost of EUR 17 810 466 and an ERDF grant of EUR 5 million. For this second phase, the total investment cost is EUR 16 138 778 for a proposed ERDF amount of EUR 48 416633.40 (30 %). Regional intervention is not desirable, since the overall operation is already supported by FA 15 (Energy) of EUR 2 776 459 (8.30 %) and by ADEME for EUR 300 000 (0.9 %), reducing the public intervention rate to less than 39 % for both phases. This aid intensity complies with the rate of 45 % provided for by the aid scheme.
