The airport POINTE-à-PITRE/Le Raizet has been managed since October 2014 by an airport company governed by private law with public capital, the Société Aéroportuaire Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes. The State delegated the operation of this airport to the SAGPC through a concession agreement which runs until December 2052. As part of this project, SAGPC plans to create two additional new parking spaces to cope with the evolution of passenger traffic and the prospect of accommodating 3 million passengers per year, by 2024. This work will take place at the airport right-of-way. The SAGPC must fill the hollow tooth between the car parks in the international area (P5 to P10) and the car parks in the FRET area (P0 to P2). A study carried out by ADPI concerning the sizing of the terminals at Guadeloupe airport for the reception of 3 million passengers showed that there was a need for at least 8 stations. To date, the airport has 6 large bearer stations and one medium carrier post. In the long run, Guadeloupe airport will be equipped with 8 large-carrier aircraft stations, 10 shifts modulated, for carrier means.
