The objective of the Cavalbio project is to contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture in Guadeloupe, and more broadly in the French Antilles, based on cognitive and methodological research that can promote the emergence of varietal solutions responding to the main constraints of the yam and citrus sectors. For yams adaptation to low input production systems, resistance to anthracnose, quality and productivity are the main targets. For citrus fruits adaptation to biotic constraints and in particular to HLB are central objectives while seeking to improve product quality and spread of productions
