The SAS les Jardins de Valombreuse wishes to bring it to the standards of its park’s spaces and equipment, to bring it more modern to update it to the expectations of its customers. The aim is to give a new cultural and artistic dimension to this floral park for a stronger immersion of visitors and a better profitability of the site. Indeed, this floral park, which covers more than 5 hectares, has been in existence for about thirty years and has been the subject of numerous works, however not sufficient to allow it to be fully restored to the standards, due to its size. The gardens of Vallombreuse, it is indeed a walk of more than an hour thirty through the largest collection of tropical plants and flowers in Guadeloupe, plus ponds, ponds, leisure facilities... and a waterfall of nearly 10 meters. The actions envisaged for this project which stem from a genuine reflection based on the criticisms expressed and on a study of the evolution of expectations for floral park concern: restoration work, restoration of the garden space, plant creation of works by local artists and works related to the labelling of botanical gardens. The total cost of the project is EUR 2 495 342.26 for an ERDF grant of EUR 748 602.68 (30 %), the contractor’s contribution is EUR 1 746 739.58, excluding regional aid.
