The supply of drinking water to the territory of the Grand Fonds du Gosier, managed by the Régie Eau Nord Caraïbes (RéNoC-Eau), is made through a purchase of water from the feeder of Belle Eau Gifteau. This feeder has been marked since 2013 by a permanent hydraulic imbalance between the need for the network it serves (consumptions + losses) and the production capacity of the plants that supply it. This situation forces operators in the areas served to install generalised water towers, otherwise some sectors would be permanently deprived of water. The operation subject to the request concerns the renewal of approximately 15 km of distribution networks and nearly 1,400 connections for which the Departmental Council is responsible for the project management of RéNoC. These are the most fragile pipes and connections identified by RéNoC that require frequent breakage interventions. The work involves the renewal of networks, the resumption of connections and the installation of sectorisation meters in order to improve the monitoring of the volumes put into distribution. 6 priority areas have been identified by RéNoC. The pipes used will be cast iron and HDPE connections reinforced.
