Implementation of WIFI infrastructure at the Centre Ville de Fort de France

The City of Fort-de-France is planning to deploy a WIFI infrastructure to allow Centre-Ville users to benefit from free access to digital services and to have free Internet access, via the portal of the City and the Tourist Office. This is part of a strategy of urban revitalisation and revitalisation. The free download of the Tourist Office — M'Fort-de-France app can then be available on the appstores and Android/IOS. It should be noted that an initial request had been submitted to the OP 2007-2013, but there was no increase in expenditure. This 1st operation is therefore considered not to be carried out under the 2007-2013 programme (see PRESAGE fiche N°33136 dated 24/02/2016 which indicates that the Financing Plan/Expense and the FSB are EUR 0. The objectives pursued are to: —reducing the digital divide — ensuring digital equity — promoting the emergence of innovative digital services — democratising access to the Internet — revitalising Centre-Ville and making it more attractive — Improving tourist reception — meet a need for almost permanent connection — respond to the arrival of new technologies and make them available to the most deprived — offer the possibility of downloading applications — allow interconnections between the remote sites of the Town Hall of Fort de France.
