At the end of 2013, the Catholic University of Lille embarked on the dynamics of the Third Industrial Revolution (TRI). The “Live TREE” orientation scheme is a declination and is part of the regional project “Zero Carbon University”. Among the projects concerned, the building of 41 rue du Port in Lille (called RIZOMM) is to be renovated and is expected to become a sociotechnical demonstrator of energy efficiency at the end of 2018, in connection with the programme of the So MEL So Connected territory. The aim is to reach the level of performance of buildings with positive energy on this rehabilitation project (5 306 m² of useful surface area). The electricity generated will be self-consumed and shared on an island-wide basis. The present operation concerns the creation of an infrastructure for the production of photovoltaic energy within the RIZOMM building, covering an area of 1 194 m². This facility will promote self-consumption and sharing of electricity produced on an island-wide basis. On the basis of the data from preliminary studies, concerning the production profiles of the photovoltaic modules and the consumption profiles of the buildings concerned, the installed capacity will be 189 kWc and the self-consumption rate above 95 % (production consumed on-site/total production).
