TMMF is planning a major development project at its Onnaing site (59) including the adoption of a new platform developed by the Toyota Group. The realisation of this project will have to ensure the future of the site in the long term thanks in particular to the introduction of 2 new vehicles with their specific characteristics which will require new equipment (robots, Painting and Plastic building,...), the strengthening of the site’s competitiveness with new high-performance equipment and more particularly in the Press, Bodywork, Painting and Plastic workshops, the achievement of a high efficiency (97 %), and the continuous reduction of the site’s environmental footprint. The calculated theoretical minimum VOC emission value is 39.07 g/m² of LPG painted bumpers. Given the innovative nature of the device to be implemented (the gains on transfer rates are based on laboratory tests of the central TMC methods) and the future precise definition of the bumper surface of the future vehicle, TMMF includes a hypothesis of increasing the surface area to 2.44 m², i.e. a target of 110 g per vehicle.
