The City of Egletons heat network is supplied with energy from 3 fuels: wood, gas and fuel. In order to reduce the share of fossil energy (gas and fuel) consumed by this network by almost 60 % and to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 6 000 tonnes/year, it is planned to supply this heat network from the thermal energy generated by the Energy Valorisation Unit (UVE) of household waste from SYTTOM 19 located in Rosiers d’Egletons. The linkage between the existing boiler room of the grid, located at the place called “Tra le Bos” and the UVE of Rosiers d’Egletons will also double the energy efficiency of this UVE, which will provide the heat network with almost 80 % of the energy consumed.
