The main challenges of this project are to strengthen the attractiveness of a part of the city of La Motte and to sustain this heritage. This is broken down into several objectives: improve the comfort of housing by rehabilitating housing in order to: •to improve the energy performance of housing and to reduce the burden of tenants, • to bring a better quality of life to the occupants (safety, materials, air quality equipment, etc.), — to value the heritage that mining cities represent on the built and architectural aspects, — to raise the awareness of tenants of green gestures, — to promote the appropriation of UNESCO heritage by the inhabitants of the cities. The objective in terms of energy performance is to target the BBC renovation threshold, i.e. energy consumption below 104 kWh/m². The SIA has worked on a program of work to achieve these results on the majority of dwellings, and although the configuration of some dwellings does not achieve this objective, the latter will benefit from the same work programme as BBC Renovation housing. This project is also intended to be a support for social integration and integrated training, which is why it is planned to: (promoting the inclusion of clauses for inclusion in works contracts, -promoting training in the workplace by integrating training clauses into the labour market.
