The GEIST Institute, founded in 2008 and bringing together 11 units/teams, develops research activities whose aims are rich since they concern human health, agro-resources, the chemistry of natural substances and the environment. Its recently redefined scientific strategy is based on two main areas of excellence — Natural Resources and Health Biology — and aims to: (1) to strengthen team excellence, (2) to promote active interdisciplinarity, including joint programmes structured around two areas of the GEIST Institute and (3) to promote the use of platforms among academic and business staff.
