The main challenges of this project are to strengthen the attractiveness of the city Mont de la Veine (46 dwellings) and to sustain this heritage. This is broken down into several objectives: — improve the comfort of housing by rehabilitating housing in order to: — to improve the energy performance of the dwellings and to reduce the burden of tenants, — to bring a better quality of life to the occupants (safety, materials, air quality equipment...) — to enhance the heritage that mining cities represent on the built and architectural aspects, — to raise tenants’ awareness of green gestures. The objective in terms of energy performance is to target the BBC renovation threshold, i.e. energy consumption below 104 kWh/m². SIA HABITAT therefore worked on the definition of a program of work to achieve these results across all housing units.
