In order to cope with the rise in unemployment, although slowing down between 2014 and 2016, despite all increasing poverty and the problems of sustainable development, ADIIE, in line with its purpose, proposes to maintain its offer of inclusion and to promote simultaneously the Martinique heritage. In partnership with the city of Sainte-Marie, ADIIE continues to implement its Atelier Chantier d’Insertion. For the period 2016-2017, the operation “Jardin de Thés et d’Epices — production of Fibres 2016-2017” is intended to produce and process medicinal and aromatic plants as well as fibres used in Caribbean basketry in order to increase their marketing through wholesale and agricultural markets and fairs at two Samaritan sites at Rue Gélie and Chertine. It diversifys its activity by making its production sites places of agritourism visits for young and adult audiences interested in reclaiming the plant heritage and related knowledge. It thus extends the skills of the participants. The association creates an environment for 15 long-term jobseekers to exist as workers, to express themselves, to become responsible, to clarify their integration plans, to be in line with the requirements of a job, to progress in terms of learning, skills, skills and basic knowledge. This operation maintains the experience of internalising individualised socio-professional support and as close as possible to the difficulties encountered by people.
