Born in the early 1980s, the Sainte Croix Animal Park is becoming increasingly successful both in terms of the number of visitors (+ 250,000 per year) and the number of nights recorded in its unusual accommodation (average occupancy rate of 93 %). As the demand for accommodation continues to grow, the park has developed a 10-year strategic plan which calls for further development of the accommodation offer to make the park a unique European tourism destination, in the form of an eco-resort animal. The aim is to expand the estate with a current area of 60 ha with an internal extension project of 8 ha, providing for the creation of 50 new accommodation (for a total of 250 beds inside the park), a reception centre dedicated to guests (parking, reception), a new thematic area and a restaurant. The creation of the resort in the Parc de Sainte Croix is intended to increase the visibility of the animal estate, an exceptional showcase of the richness of fauna and flora in Lorraine. This structuring investment must help make it a bridgehead for ecotourism in Lorraine.
