The operation consists of the construction of the IRS 2 Nantes biotech building, which will include on its first three levels a business incubator for the Atlantic Biotherapies competitiveness cluster (not eligible for ERDF co-financing) and on its levels 4, 5 and 6, premises for academic research in the field of health (eligible for ERDF co-financing), more specifically in the fields of gene therapy and vectorology. The IRS 2 Nantes bio tech will be contiguous to the IRS 2 buildings. These 2 buildings have been designed in a coordinated manner and are the first 2 buildings of the future hospital-university campus located on the island of Nantes. The project will bring together all basic research teams and clinical research teams on a single site, thus strengthening complementarities and proximity to technological equipment.
