Angers is located at the crossroads of three major green roamings, hence its involvement in the development of this network of trails on its own site, and in particular the “Green Boucles” whose guidelines were validated at the Conseil communautaire d’Angers Loire Métropole on 16 November 2015. The main objective of the ERDF-funded operation forming part of the “green loops” route is to rehabilitate the railway right-of-way into a green road between the municipalities of Angers and Montreuil Juigné and to achieve continuity at a clean site. This 9.2 km bike path on its own site was the subject of a works contract.
