The municipality of Albertville has decided to create a 16.5 km wood energy heat network powered by a 7 MW wood boiler. It consists of: •A boiler room that produces heat to supply buildings with heating and sanitary hot water, •A network of pipes that transports heat to the substations, a pipe to transport hot water and a return pipe transporting cold water. •Substations that transfer heat from the primary municipal heat network to the secondary building network or collective heating. It will connect 116 buildings including housing, health facilities, schools, public tertiary buildings and a swimming pool.
