FAMERGIE Platform

The aim of the project “FAMERGIE Platform” for “Additive Metallic Manufacturing for Energy” is to offer a 3D metal printing platform for energy in the ARA region in Grenoble, by installing a FFLP (Fusion Laser on Powder Bed) manufacturing machine from AddUp. The FAMERGIE platform aims to create an ecosystem to accelerate the uptake of metallic additive manufacturing in the energy sector by building on recognised regional expertise (including the CEA LITEN eco-system), and with the support of AddUp, a regional vehicle for industrial deployment of 3D metal printing. This “Hub Energy” allows to create the conditions conducive to the technological breaks of tomorrow and to move from concept to functional part (complex parts of exchangers, thermal materials such as copper or aluminium, systems for fuel cells, components for wind and biogas, etc.).
