Territorial Development Support Facility

The DADT aims to promote the creation of residential economic activities throughout the French Guiana and to facilitate the local production sectors. It should enable social integration, the creation of businesses and the structuring of local sectors in areas excluded from the economic dynamics of the island of Cayenne. It will make it possible to overcome the difficulties of geographical remoteness, social exclusion and weak private entrepreneurial dynamics limiting paid employment. It will encourage the creation of activities to provide a different perspective than informal employment, declining public employment and low private job creation. For three years, over the period 2017-2020, the DADT will pursue a twofold objective: to detect and support the idea-makers towards the realisation of their business creation projects; connect and facilitate local production enterprises in order to enable them to develop. It is therefore a reorganisation of its role and administrative architecture in relation to DRADL 2012-2015 to make it more efficient. The DADT will be divided into two complementary networks: local Development Officers (LDAs) and Economic Development Officers (EDOs).
