The Joint Union for Floods, Planning and Water Management (SMIAGE) MARALPIN was created on 1 January 2017 in a process of pooling the means to be used to improve forecasting, flood risk management, but also the observation and monitoring of strategic water resources for the territory. Among the actions undertaken, the project aims, through a four-year public contract, to entrust specialised service providers with two main tasks: — the design of an overall supervision tool and the provision of a consultancy and support service (7/7 24/24) in the event of a major event. — the design of a population alert tool and its deployment to volunteer municipalities.
